Mercy College – A Case Study

When Mercy College purchased a vacated high school building directly adjacent to its main campus in Dobbs Ferry, New York, and converted it into the College’s School of Business, the original main entrance and entrance lobby became obsolete because the building entrance was being relocated to face the campus. The space would be perfectly dimensioned and proportioned for a Finance Lab classroom accommodating approximately forty student positions. Existing floor level changes would allow for tiered seating, creating excellent sight lines for the students, and existing ceiling level changes would allow ceiling heights between nine and thirteen feet.

The entrance vestibule doors and glass to be removed and the exterior entrance doors to be replaced with fixed glass.
